Poole

A visit to the pleasant town of Poole, in Dorset, for a reunion with some friends. Plenty of boats in Poole Harbour.
We took a cruise round Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world, they say.
Brownsea Island, in the middle of the harbour, is owned by the National Trust and part is kept as a nature reserve. The island is famous as the birthplace of the Boy Scouts.

Christchurch

In the pretty town of Christchurch I found this fascinating Museum of Electricity, housed in an Edwardian substation building.

I explored Christchurch further, finding this church dating from the 11th century, and then taking a walk along the river.
